The world leading manufacturer of Dextran

PK Chemicals is a CDMO and has been manufacturing Dextran in Køge, Denmark since 1964.
Magle announced the acquisition of PK Chemicals in June 2024. With this, Magle has expanded to Denmark and effectively doubled the employees by welcoming PK Chemicals into the fold.

With two new manufacturing sites in Denmark, Magle can expand its CDMO business and keep striving for being a leading voice in the pharmaceutical industry.

About Magle Group

Magle AB (formed in 1995 as a pure development company) acquired Chemoswed AB (formed in 1944 as a manufacturing company) in 2016 before merging the companies in 2017 to form Magle Chemoswed. In 2019, Adroit Science AB was acquired to increase the development services segment. In 2021, PharmaCept GmbH was acquired as a first step to develop a sales and marketing organization for DSM products. Most recent to join the Magle Group is Magle Biopolymers - a CDMO part of the group focusing on Dextran technology.
